Microsoft Mobile Productivity Solutions for Nokia Smartphones

Microsoft Mobile Productivity Solutions for Nokia Smartphones

Microsoft and Nokia, the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, have joined forces to deliver ground-breaking enterprise solutions for mobile productivity. The two companies will bring Microsoft business communications, collaboration, and device-management software, as well as Microsoft Office Mobile, to Nokia’s Symbian devices. These solutions will be available for a broad range of Nokia smartphones starting with the company’s business-optimized range, Nokia Eseries.
The Microsoft and Nokia alliance will enable Nokia smartphone owners to collaborate on Office documents from virtually anywhere, as part of Microsoft’s strategy to provide a best-in-class productivity experience across the PC, phone, and browser.

These are the few tools which are available on Nokia devices:
Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync: Take your office wherever you go with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync on your smartphone. E-mail, calendar, contacts–consistent with Microsoft Outlook–are always at your fingertips, in real time, so you can stay on top of business anytime, anywhere. Mail for Exchange synchronizes your business’s Microsoft Exchange accounts so employees can use their Microsoft Exchange inbox, calendar and contacts on their Nokia mobile devices.
Microsoft Communicator Mobile: It helps you communicate with your colleagues. The solution provides real-time presence information and rich instant messaging (IM) functionality.
Browser access to Microsoft SharePoint 2010: SharePoint 2010 enables Nokia devices to browse and interact with company information via a mobile web experience. Stay connected to your documents, contacts, tasks and other key SharePoint 2010 capabilities including project sites, lists and search.
Office Mobile 2010: Office Mobile includes mobile versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and SharePoint Workspace. You can enjoy it on your Nokia devices.
